This little man got here just a little over a week ago. Isn't he a sweetie??
This little guy's parents were so excited to meet him -- after all, they had waited a long 9 months to find out whether they were having a son or a daughter! In fact, while he was still in utero, the family had taken to referring to him as 'Sprout'. A cute friend even made the baby a onesie bearing his pre-birth nickname. . .once I saw the onesie, I knew I wanted to get a shot of him in a flower pot. . .and, lucky for me, the new parents were up for anything! With a little careful positioning, we got a few keepers. . .here's one for ya. . .
Look closely, and you'll see mom's arm . . . he is a remarkable (and STRONG) little thing, but he is still just a few days old -- he had to have a little help holding up that head!

And, finally, I love this last one -- it was actually mom's idea -- and what a good one! It emphasizes beautifully just how small the wee one is. . .
